The Niigata Shipment Has Arrived
The koi have just arrived in Kaneohe and we are delighted to have them here. They will be in quarantine for the next few weeks. During that time we promise to take better pictures.

Niigata 2014: Matsunosuke Sanke
This year we went to one of our favorite breeders to look and saw many beautiful koi. A few nisai sanke stood out and we needed to decide which ones to get. We decided on taking all three. Keep in mind the blue bucket is twice a large as some of the other breeder's bucket. These nisai are huge.

Niigata 2014:Update
One of the breeders who lives about 100 yards from the home that we stay at is Marusho. Ushijima Nishikigoi uses his bloodline to breed our Kujyaku. Here are the koi that we purchased.

Niigata 2014
Currently Ushijima Nishikigoi is on our annual buying trip to Niigata, Japan. We have been fortunate to see and purchase some beautiful koi. We will post all the pictures soon but here are just a few. We will also post video soon.
The next two picutres are our purchases from Yagenji. Last year the Kohaku that get go really grew and the color got better. This year we got two shiro utsuri, ai goromo, gin rin showa, and Kohaku.
One breed that we haven't brought back to Hawaii in a few years is asagi and shisui. We usually go to Tanaka to get these. We also got a sansai shiro utsuri.
Probably the most sought after bloodline for sanke in Japan is the Matsunosuke Sanke. It was too tough to decide on one so we got all three.

2013's Tosai Update
Last summer Ushijima Nishikigoi bred sanke showa, kin showa and kujyaku. They are growing fast and some of their colors are really starting to come out. Here are some pictures of some randomly caught koi from our farm in Kaneohe, HI. Thank you for looking.
