6 month Tosai - Sanke and Showa

Here are some images of the tosai that were bred in June. They are coming along and culling always ensures more space to grow and get big. Just some background on the sanke and showa breeders. Matsunosuke males and females and the showa are marusada female and males.

Kohaku Update

This year we were able to breed our Kohaku. (Female, Maruju sansai. Males Yamamatsu and Ushijima Nishikigoi sansai) . The tosai are growing fast and We will post pictures soon. We also are very happy to report that the Kohaku nisai that we purchased from Niigata in 2017 are turning into very nice sansai. Take a look and the 2017 pictures(first 4 images) and what they look like now.

Below pictures were taken a few weeks ago at our farm in Kaneohe.

These kohaku start at $400 and go up according to size and quality. Breeders are Yagenji, Marusada, and Marusho. (and of course no filters used in these photos.)

Ohana Koi Show (late post)

Sorry for the late post but Ushijima Nishikigoi entered both goldfish and koi to the Ohana Koi Show at Salt Lake Elementary.

Our koi won several categories but our Tamasamba won first prize in the single tail variety. Kinda funny but not the big one but the small one won first place. I only entered the smaller one to show the size of the bigger one.

All Japan Koi Show 2018

Ushijima Nishikikoi was lucky enough to go to the All Japan Koi Show in Tokyo, Japan. The best of the best were on display and here are some images that we took.
